The engineer should have a min. 10-15 years proven experience in the design and documentation of residential, commercial and industrial steel portal frame buildings, also reinforced and PT concrete, for medium to large multi-storey buildings including foundation design to AS3600 and steel design to AS4100 in SE Qld.
Bridge design and or materials handling an advantage as well as Civil / structural project management skills in the land development and property/building industry.
A structural/civil all rounder would be ideally suited that has vast local experience in the building industry and has the ability to quote projects and see them through from start to finish.
Reporting to the Engineering manager, you will ensure the timely delivery of design and technical services to clients with the highest level of quality and professionalism. Liaising with clients, architects and building services consultants, you will attend meetings and provide technical advice for clients and sub-consultants and lead the design team from preliminary to detailed design.
Tertiary qualified with a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, you will have clear and concise communication skills, along with substantial design and software experience preferably with Staad Pro 2007 v8, Ram Concept, Tedds and Autocad, however training in staad can be given if necessary.
The role can be structured to suit an experienced engineer that would prefer to work less hours either 3-4 days per week or an up and coming dynamic younger engineer with substantial local experience that would like a challenge and take the reigns as a permanent role.
