Part time / Contract Mid-Senior level Civil / Structural / Hydraulic engineer required for site inspections, client meetings, hydraulic / structural reports as required. Must have native english and good report writing and communication skills and be experienced in buildings and the residential and commercial property market.
Along with the civil,structural, hydraulic and building services that are required for any new or renovated building.
You will attend site visits and client meetings then prepare structural or hydraulic reports with photos, observations, conclusions and recommendations.
Initially on an as needed basis,thus the hours will vary each week.
You must be able to go to site and diagnose the problem whether it be underpinning or another structural problem, or a flooding/ dranage problem, then write a report for submiison to the client or council with recommendations for repair.
If further structurally experienced, you will also be able to provide input to larger structural developments for design concepts, consultation and resource estimates.
A multi disciplinary role that is initially required only on an as needed basis, suit a semi-retired engineer.

- Lead Role – Structural Revit Designer

- Min. 7-10 yrs exp. An all rounder preferred
The Designer should have a min. 7-10 years proven experience in the design and documentation of residential, commercial and industrial steel portal frame buildings, also reinforced and PT concrete, for medium to large multi-storey buildings in in SE Qld with Autodesk Revit Structure 2012 and later.
Building and hydraulic services design an advantage as well as structural project management skills in the land development and property/building industry.
A structural/civil/hydraulic all rounder would be ideally suited that has vast local experience in the building industry and has the ability to design projects and see them through from start to finish.
Reporting to the Engineering manager, you will ensure the timely delivery of design and technical services to clients with the highest level of quality and professionalism. Liaising with clients, architects and building services consultants, you will attend meetings and provide technical advice for clients and sub-consultants and lead the design team from preliminary to detailed design.
Tertiary qualified with an associate degree in Structural Engineering, you will have clear and concise communication skills, along with substantial design and software experience preferably with Revit Structure and Revit Architecture 2012, 3DS Max and Autocad 2012.
The role can be structured to suit an experienced designer that would prefer to work less hours either 3-4 days per week or an up and coming dynamic younger designer with substantial local experience that would like a challenge and take the reigns as a permanent role.
